Influenced by everyone and everything including Bowie, The Lord of The Rings, Kate Bush, ELO, Montreux, ABBA, Berlin, Les Miserables, all things Disney and his favourite band Queen, a level of fandom and knowledge that led him to be invited to Brian May’s guitars 50th birthday by Brian May.
Steven’s quirky and interesting look at songs earned fans such as My Chemical Romance with Gerrard Way saying “I know every word to every song they have written, they make music like no-one else” and US alt rock bible Alternative Press proclaiming “LostAlone are the most underrated band in the history of the world, EVER“.
Steven has the ability to craft out unique pop hooks, concepts and cleverly placed lyrics, is a fantastic guitarist, loves chocolate, and builds Lego at the end of every project, currently most proud of the Home Alone house.
Steven has worked recently with MCFLY contributing to 7 songs on the UK number 2 album (June 2022) Power To Play LP.
Other artists he is currently working with include OKEAN ELZY, BIMINI BON BOULASH, THE TYNE, BEREN OLIVIA, LOZEAK, LOU, MEGAN MCKENNA, CODY FROST.
Steven is also one third of a new writing & production Team ‘SideQuest’ which he set up alongside Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter after completing work on McFly’s 7th Album.
Steven worked with long term LostAlone friends Greg Wells, Adam Noble & Rou Reynolds during lockdown to make the 4th LostAlone record – all of them taking on mixing duties.
